Course Proposal Process
Believe it or not, we have already begun talking about courses to add to our to our robust OPRF course offerings for next year. Here is a shot of my crew proposing classes to the counselors and division heads. This process is led by our Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction, Mr. Phil Prale.
How does it work? Teachers work over the summer (you thought that they just went on vacation, didn't you) to create curriculum proposals that they believe that would interest you and enhance the course offerings in each division. We then meet as an administration with counselors to determine which courses we would like to add. We then recommend those classes to the Board of Education for approval. They are then added to the Program of Studies in advance of your meetings with counselors. Want to know what we are adding? I'm not telling you:)- but I know that your counselors will when you meet with them!!!!!
