State Championship Assembly

Today we celebrated the accomplishments of our very own 2016 IHSA 4A State Champion Softball Team!  Our Lady Huskies took Peoria by storm last June and won a very competitive, gut-wrenching title game.  I look forward to the REPEAT!  Here is a pic of me and our champions!

The Book of Elijah Sims

I was able to attend the funeral services for Elijah this afternoon. So that you are aware, I stepped up to the podium and expressed condolences to his family on behalf of our OPRFHS family. I also spoke directly to his brother Isaiah, who is a student of ours, and let him know that we all are here to support him through this difficult time.
Here is the photo from his obituary that was called "The Book of Elijah". Although a very sad occasion, it was a wonderful funeral service.

Welcome Back OPRF!

Good Morning! I hope your school year is off to a great start! This is your friendly neighborhood Principal Mr. Rouse and the is my Blog....Mr. Rouse in the House. I started it last year as a way to highlight anything I can related to 201 N Scoville...and at times a little bit about me.
So so if you see me out and about, which you will- don't be afraid to ask for a shout out on the blog or invite me to your classes or events! My first blog of the year is about some really cool juniors and seniors who have coined themselves
"The Hammock Club". I was strolling around the campus Tuesday and after exchanging pleasantries (it's imortant to say hello and spread positive Huskie vibes to anyone and everyone you come in contact with) they graciously allowed me to try out their hammock during lunch. Here's a pic:
