Honor's Convocation

We are.....2016 Badminton Sectional Champs!

Last night the Girls Badminton team took first place at the IHSA Sectional Tournament, and qualified all singles and doubles players for the State Finals next weekend at Eastern Illinois University!  Please congratulate the following student-athletes and coaches on this accomplishment.  This is the first Sectional Championship in Badminton for OPRF since 1999!

The Best Freshman Poetry Slam...Ever!!! The Spring Showcase is next Thursday!

Congrats to Mr. Peter Kahn, Mr Adam Levin & The Class of 2019 for an epic Poetry Slam yesterday! They were so amazing that we had a 3-way tie for 1st Place! The winners were:
Ryhen Miller, Makaila Dean, & Corina Robinson!

The audience was amazing as well! Congrats!

The Spoken Word Club Spring Showcase and Team Slam will be held in the Little Theatre on Thursday, May 12th .    Doors will open at 6pm and the show will start at 6:30pm.  We should end by 8:30 or so.   It will feature about 65 OPRF students broken into  group pieces, as well as two of our Louder Than a Bomb group pieces.   Justin Smith and Vann Harris will perform senior solos and Nick Drain will read his Ishma Stewart Memorial Scholarship piece.  Jamael Clark and Donorica Harris will also perform an alumni duet.  Please come out and support, if you can make it.  Below, you can see the names of students who will be performing.

All faculty and staff are invited to attend the Spring Showcase for free. All you have to do is show up. If you'd like to bring someone else, please let me know asap and I'll set aside a ticket ($5 each) which can be purchased through the link below.  We will likely sell out in advance and you might not be able to get in if you arrive later than 6:30.
